ROLE SNAPSHOT

GiveDirectly is hiring a Senior Director, Philanthropy to lead and grow senior philanthropy efforts across high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and private/family foundations, mobilizing flexible capital at scale to support GiveDirectly's goal of delivering $5 billion by 2035. You'll own strategy and execution of the senior philanthropy program (raising $100M+ annually from major donors), personally steward and close relationships with significant supporters, work closely with CEO on top-priority relationship management, lead a high-performing team of 4-5 fundraisers with clear priorities and quality standards, manage selective portfolio of major philanthropists leading complex high-stakes donor conversations, and build scalable systems for acquisition, engagement, solicitation, and stewardship. This senior leadership role requires proven track record securing significant philanthropic commitments from high/ultra-high-net-worth individuals, experience engaging finance and technology sector stakeholders with strong networks, strategic judgment to shape philanthropy strategy and close complex deals, and experience leading fundraising or similar teams.
