ROLE SNAPSHOT
Yahoo is hiring a Sr Manager, Consumer Product Communications to oversee external communications strategy and execution for Yahoo's most visible consumer products including Yahoo Search, Yahoo Scout AI answer engine, and Yahoo Mail, serving hundreds of millions of users globally. You'll develop and execute comprehensive proactive and reactive communications strategies, partner closely with product, marketing, brand, and legal teams to align communications with launches and priorities, pitch and secure coverage with top-tier media and influencers, identify and support executive speaking opportunities at industry events, create briefing documents and messaging frameworks, support and manage communications for senior executives including media prep, and monitor media landscape to identify opportunities and risks. This role requires 7-10+ years in communications and media relations for consumer technology or digital products, proven experience working cross-functionally with product and marketing teams, strong media relationship building track record, and exceptional writing skills translating complex product features into engaging stories.
