ROLE SNAPSHOT

Thomson Reuters is hiring an Industry Sales Specialist for Retail and Technology industries to accelerate commercial growth as a vertical and product specialist who brings deep expertise, credibility, and thought leadership into active sales pursuits, particularly as an overlay resource late in the sales cycle to shape solutions, remove obstacles, and drive opportunities to close. You'll serve as the subject matter expert on assigned products/content and the Retail/Technology verticals, working in a pooled team model across a sub-segment to contribute specialist support at scale and share repeatable best practices across the broader sales organization. This role requires a Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years as an experienced professional with deep technical expertise and 5+ years of relevant industry experience, with proven track record driving complex strategic negotiations leveraging strong influencing, problem-solving, and conflict management skills. You'll develop profound expertise in specific products and how they apply to Retail and Technology use cases, use Salesforce.com and industry data to identify trends and actionable opportunities, and act as end-of-cycle support to accelerate progression and drive deals to close in complex, multi-stakeholder situations. The role involves solution shaping and value alignment by mapping customer needs to appropriate product configurations, leading strategic negotiations including complex terms and stakeholder alignment, and partnering with Sales Executives, Customer Success, Solution Consultants, and cross-functional teams to drive revenue outcomes. You must be an entrepreneurial, adaptable self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments while building and maintaining relationships with large, complex global accounts.
