ROLE SNAPSHOT

Humana is hiring an Associate Director for End User Compute Virtual to provide strategic and operational leadership for their Tier 0 Virtual Apps Platform L3 Infrastructure team, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing virtual application services for critical business operations. You'll oversee enterprise Virtual Access, Desktops, and Application environments while leading a team through incident management, disaster recovery planning, and compliance with HIPAA, SOX, and internal audit requirements. This role requires 7+ years of progressive enterprise infrastructure experience, 5+ years in people leadership (team development, performance management, talent acquisition), and demonstrated experience managing Tier 0/critical systems. You'll need strong knowledge of ITIL principles, proficiency in automation/scripting (PowerShell, Ansible), and expert-level understanding of Virtual Apps Platform technologies like Citrix, Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop, or VMware Horizon. As escalation point for high-severity incidents, you'll participate in 24x7 on-call rotation, champion automation and service reliability engineering, and present operational reports to executive leadership. Bonus: Master's degree or certifications (Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty, VMware Certified Professional, ITIL, CISSP) preferred, plus experience with cloud-hosted deployments (Azure, AWS) and healthcare/regulated industries highly valued.
