ROLE SNAPSHOT

Yahoo is hiring a Senior Software Full-Stack Engineer to build and ship high-quality, high-performance growth features for Yahoo Mail (serving 200M+ monthly users), with strong focus on hands-on coding across React and Node.js. You'll rapidly prototype, launch, and iterate on user-facing experiences using data and experimentation, collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data partners to drive engagement and habit formation, write clean and testable code while continuously deploying to production, optimize application code and APIs for performance at consumer scale, and operate globally distributed production systems while monitoring outcomes and iterating based on user impact. This role requires BS in Computer Science with 6+ years of professional software development, proven experience building consumer-facing web applications using React and Node.js, deep understanding of modern frontend technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3), and hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, NoSQL databases, and real-time streaming data.
