Yahoo is hiring a Content Analyst and Knowledge Engineer to serve as the human intelligence layer refining the core search experience for millions of users across all platforms, combining rigorous diagnostic testing, query analysis, and strategic content programming. You'll monitor and analyze content programming performance translating raw data into actionable insights, conduct competitive landscape and user climate analysis to influence product roadmap, act as editorial SME ensuring communication of product changes across cross-functional teams, classify diverse unstructured data and synthesize user query analysis, execute content curation with data-driven performance metrics and journalistic standards, and collaborate with Engineering and Data Science teams on LLMs and ML algorithms for ranking, classification, and NLP initiatives. This role requires Bachelor's degree (preferred in Linguistics, Data Science, Journalism, or Computer Science), 5+ years in content analysis or search quality, expertise in taxonomy development and content categorization, and strong technical aptitude to interface with Engineering teams.
