ROLE SNAPSHOT
Zapier is hiring an Accounting Lead to serve as end-to-end owner of equity accounting ensuring accurate accounting for stock-based compensation, modifications, secondary transactions, and other complex equity events under US GAAP. You'll own month-end close responsibilities for fixed assets, intangible assets, and other assigned areas within a 5-day close, drive process improvement and automation initiatives leveraging NetSuite functionality and AI tools to reduce manual effort, research and document technical accounting matters including new pronouncements, assist in audit schedule preparation serving as key point of contact for auditors, and monitor and strengthen internal controls including implementing a controls matrix.
Experience required: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including at least 3 years in audit (public or internal), deep experience with complex technical accounting particularly equity and stock-based compensation under US GAAP, active CPA credential, and automation mindset naturally looking for ways to streamline and systematize processes.
