ROLE SNAPSHOT
Remote is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and scale the core tools, APIs, and integrations that power its global employment platform. This role sits within a cross-functional engineering organization spanning Backend, Frontend, SRE, and QA, and focuses on developing and maintaining complex, production-grade systems used worldwide. The backend stack is built on Elixir and Phoenix with PostgreSQL, hosted on AWS, and supported by a strong CI/CD culture with frequent deployments. In this role, you’ll lead major projects, mentor other engineers, influence product decisions, and design scalable APIs while working asynchronously in a fully distributed environment.
