ROLE SNAPSHOT
The ASPCA is hiring two Director, Legal Counsel positions to draft and negotiate contracts, advise on labor and employment matters, and provide legal support across animal welfare programs and corporate operations. You'll work with program teams, manage operational risk, ensure compliance with federal/state/local laws, and collaborate with outside counsel on litigation and complex matters. This fully remote role (with 10% travel) requires a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, 4+ years practicing law, and bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Zone-based compensation ($128K–$148K), plus generous 401(k) matching (dollar-for-dollar up to 4% plus an additional 4% employer contribution), flexible time off, paid parental leave, and robust professional development.
